| STUCK IN A 90's TIME WARP?-HAVE THEY GOTTEN LAZY | | By a Guest Reviewer | | I had dined here for the first time in several years after spending much of my 20's perched on the bar during the early to mid 90's-I have since moved to NY and was looking forward to returning to the scene of the crime of my youth-I was pretty dissapointed in the place-First off, the menu seemed the same, as did the wine list-The service was ok, but the waiter seemed too laid back for the type of restaraunt this is supposed to be-Also, my rosy memories of the reasonable price of good food in NC was shattered as well when I got the bill which was much higher than I had thought it would be-All in all, the place was adequate, but not deserving of its reputation-The place seemed stuck in a time warp of late 80's/early 90's cuisine (sun dried tomatoes anyone?)-Not terrible, but a certain kind of laziness has set in here | |
