The sandpeddler has a great look and a great location all wrapped into one. The building and rooms are beautiful (not to mention the view)! It is very family oriented and peaceful. It is seconds away from the beach as well as great dining. They even provide off the street, private parking for each room. I would highly recommend a stay if you are going to be in the area. It is a true home away from home....''

''My husband & I went to spend a few days at Topsail Beach & were recommended this hotel. The bed was comfy, we had our own little balcony, & the microwave & fridge in the room were nice touches. The motel has 3 stories & it's pretty much right on the beach. You walk down a short pier & you're ON the beach. If you get a chance, visit this hotel. It's clean, inexpensive, & in a great location. The manager was pretty nice too....''

''We stayed on one of the lower floors, and close to the elevator. The view of the surf is great even from the lower floors. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen is tiny but certainly usable, the furniture well-kept. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. On the downside: The ''balcony'' is actually a tiny little strip of concrete barely big enough for 2 chairs, and the outside furniture was filthy. ''It is a very nice hotel for a very affordable price (we did get card discount). We have stayed here several times when visiting Wilmington, and really have no complaints at all for any of the times we spent at this hotel. I normally do not like hotels which are next to busy highways or roads, but with the inside rooms, I did not hear any noise for the street. Since I am a very light sleeper, this is a big plus for me. And, the contential breakfast was very adequate....''

''The Inn is a renovated upstairs over an early 20th century storefront (now a Thai restaurant). A separate sleeping loft (unfortunately with a less than perfect bed) left a spacious living area/kitchenette. Good location near riverfront, shops, downtown, historic homes district...''
