We were in Topsail Beach for our anniversary. We had checked the internet reading reviews on restaurant's. We decided to go to Batson's Family Restaurant. What a mistake. The service was great, but the food was terrible. After getting by to our room I telephoned the restaurant in hoping to talk to the owner about the quality of the food. no such luck.

We ate here when we visited the area & really enjoyed the breakfast & lunch special. You can't beat the price for the quality & quantity of food. The restaurant was clean & our waitress, Sonya (? spelling), was very friendly, did an excellent job taking care of the customers & making sure the dining experience was a pleasant one. We will definately be back.

Great Place

We were on vacation in Surf City and this restaurant was recommended to us and we are glad. The servers were friendly. The food was delicious and abundant. The restaurant was full of locals who meet there often. Everyone seemed happy (and that's important). We ended up eating at least one meal a day here and had no complaints at all.
