Review Guidelines
Basic Review Guidelines:

Your review should focus on specific aspects of the business you are reviewing. Do not simply state you liked or disliked the business - be specific.

The best reviews include not only whether you liked or disliked a business' products or service, but also why.

DO NOT TYPE IN ALL CAPS!

Do not mention competing company names in your reviews. Focus on the company you are reviewing, and if you wish, leave a review about the other companies on their directory listings.

Do not comment on other reviews - respect their position and write your own, but do not argue with others.

Do not use profanity or post spiteful remarks.

Do not write a review that is less than 50 words in length. The goal of a review is to share your experiences with a particular company - very short reviews do not accomplish this.

Do not post phone numbers, email addresses or URLs.

Do not post inflammatory reviews - stop and put yourself in the shoes of the owner of the business you are posting about.

Do not post many reviews about one business. Doing this will cause all of your reviews to be deleted.

Remember, you are responsible for your words.

Adding new reviews is currently disabled while we work on launching a new website.

horrible food over priced stay away save your money

The broiled seafood platter was terrible over cooked with a bunch of parsley thrown on top. Baked potato was more likely microwaved then put in tin foil, salad bar was a joke they advertise having the best. false advertising I say. You would think since they advertise fresh and the best seafood and are located just off the Atlantic ocean they could get this right. no chance most likely frozen and precooked . My wife ordered the prime rib most likely cooked in the microwave again . Mashed potatoes were watery cold and tasteless. Both daughters ordered a pasta dish which was bland cold and poorly prepared not fresh either. The ice was cold though. When I saw the waitress bring out the small wooden salad bowls popular in the 70's I should have gotten up and left sure sign that the meal would be terrible. As you are eating look around at the walls and floor not noticeable when you walk in because the restraint is dark and your eyes need to adjust but once they do the grime on the walls and carpet will kill your appetite if the food did not. We left the majority of our food on our plates paid the overly expensive bill and respectfully walked out knowing that this restraint rarely has second time visitors and if they do they have iron clad stomachs. I feel sorry for anyone who would happen upon this dump and lay out their hard earned cash for the slop they serve. Chef Gordon Ramsey would bull doze this dump down. There is NOTHING FRESH ABOUT THE FOOD IN THIS PLACE.In my opinion Any positive review is either the staff owner friend of owner, if you do not believe me go spend your hard earned money to get sick was there at 5PM with family not at closing time

Worse meal in years
By rtpana on 9/1/2007
We should have just walked out after looking at the salad bar. The eating area was dark and dingy. Half of my prime rib was fat. My husband's broiled flounder was slimy. We will never go back again.

Some of the best seafood in Kure, but also unfortunently some of it is a teensy bit expensive.

Food OK. Price way too high! We will never eat here again. $130.71 for 4 adults and 1 mixed drink?

I haven't been to the beach for many years. I have craved a Big Daddy's meal many, many times. In May I am getting to spend a few days and I intend to eat at Big Daddy's everyday! I met Big Daddy and he was a delight. That tells you how long ago I was there. I hope his food is still as good as it use to be! My tastebuds are counting on it!!! Until May! I will let you know!!!!!!!!!!

May 29th: Just returned from the perfect vacation. Big Daddy's was still about the same. I did miss Big Daddy. He had so much personality and he always made you feel so welcome. The flounder was great. The beach has changed so much. It was all so lovely. Great place to visit. No wonder I had missed it so much.

We do NOT recommend this restaurant if you looking for really good food. Food was OK at best and was WAY too expensive!! I felt like I was in a budget restaurant until I got the bill... I don't mind spending $ on a really good meal, but I do mind paying these prices for the food we ate! Very disappointing.. :o(
