For only about $20 more we received a CLEAN, SPACIOUS, and did I forget to mention CLEAN room. It was amazing the difference. ''I stayed at this place for two nights in June. It's very clean and appeared to be relatively new. The hotel is not beach front, but only 3 or so blocks away and much cheaper than anything on the beach. There was a fridge in the room, which was nice. I did have to ask for an iron and ironing board, but it was delivered promptly.

''My husband and I took the kids down to the beach for the day and ended up staying the night. We rented a room at the oceaneer and after we walked in we walked right back out and got our money back. The ceiling was falling down in the bathroom, there were black mold spots on the tile and it smelled like a strong ''cover-up''. It was scarey to say the least. ''We stumbled upon the Kure Keys when arriving in the area on a weekend with no reservations. It was very charming, with clean rooms and fantastic service. The pool and hot tub were very nice, and open later than other hotels in the area we've stayed at before. The deck has a wonderful view of the water, and has plenty of chairs, a glider, and rocking chairs. Nice place for coffee in the morning!
