Nothing unique, only one kid of donut, basically identical to the yeast type of donut (as opposed to the cake-like baking soda kind at dunkin') served at Krispy Kreme. But they are still melt in your mouth good and they turn them out hot. The atmosphere is pre-modern bare concrete dingy storage bin with fluorescent lighting, but you can walk right up to the counter from the outdoor walk and get them to go. | |

Anyone who has ever been to Carolina Beach has had to at least experience the delicious aroma. Of course, once you've smelled them, your taste buds will hold you hostage until you actually eat ''one.'' However, you can't eat just one. Luckily, their prices are excellent. They accept cash only and ring you up on an old fashioned cash register. You can even watch them make the donuts through the window the same way they have always done, and not on a conveyor belt. These are ''handmade.'' You should eat them fresh and hot...as soon as you get them. They are the best that way because they literally MELT in your mouth. Service is excellent, but be sure to expect to wait just a LITTLE bit on very busy beach days (especially the 4th of July (after the fireworks), when they have a line all the way down the Boardwalk). Trust me, it will be worth the wait! My only caveat...you will become addicted! | |

The smell of hot, sweet donuts wafts out the open doors and lures customers in. The long bar with stools is causal and comfortable. But best of all are the actual donuts themselves. They are always fresh and hot with just enough sweetness and still light as air. Yum-o! | |
