Full Moon Gallery

For collectors looking for pieces that are strictly Outer Banks, the Full Moon Gallery is a must see. The gallery only features Outer Banks artists in a variety of mediums, including paintings, prints, cards, jewelry, glass pieces and glass vases, and pieces for the garden and home. Next door, the Full Moon cafe features a delectable lunch and dinner menu for collectors who shop better on a full stomach.

Dare County Arts Council Gallery

Any art lover's trip to Manteo isn't complete without a trip to the Dare County Arts Council Gallery. The council honors local artists from all over the Outer Banks, and the gallery showcases a rotating selection of paintings, pottery, jewelry, textiles and much more, created exclusively by Dare County Arts Council member artists. Perhaps best of all, the proceeds help in producing and creating a number of arts programs to visitors and residents across Dare County. Enthusiastic local art lovers can also become Council members and enjoy a 10% discount off all gallery purchases as well.

Silver Bonsai Gallery

905 US Highway 64 - Manteo
The Silver Bonsai Gallery is distinctive from the inside out, and with a yard filled with distinctive art, trees and flowers, is easy to spot. Inside, browsers will find a collection of local and regional crafts and pieces of art, jewelry, as well as a collection of unique and intricate bonsai trees.

The Island Gallery

621 South Highway 64 - Manteo
The town of Manteo is home to one of the oldest galleries on the Outer Banks, simply named The Island Gallery. Established in 1967, the gallery displays the work of more than 100 regional and local artisans, and the work includes everything from sculptures to jewelry, photography to prints, and woodcuts to etchings. Nationally known artists display their works here too, like Albert Swayhoover and P. Buckley Moss, and for art lovers in a holiday mood, the gallery is shared with Manteo's famous Christmas Tree shop in a 30,000 square foot location.
