Took 1.5 hours to bring out the food, service was horrible, bill was $120.00 for 4 adults, 1 child (no drinks- we're driving home.) By the time we returned to our rental, my SIL was puking. We called the restaurant, and they said, ''You can't prove it was us.'' Classy! We moan at the memory each year as we drive past this horrible plac...''

''The Parkerton Inn is located close to Emerald Isle beaches, and just a few miles from Barrier Island Kayaks in Swansboro, NC. Great place to stay for a kayak symposium.
The motel is clean, quiet, rates are reasonable, and if you get a room close to the office, or go sit in one of the comfortable chairs in the lobby (or on the sidewalk at night), you can access thier wireless internet to check your email or upload files on a working vacation.

''I have been going to the beach pretty much every summer since I was about 8 years old (I am now 34). There are numerous places I have stayed on the crystal coast of North Carolina, and to me Summer Winds is the best by far. The only real inconvenience is that most of the local grocery stores and such have closed, so you have to drive a distance if you need to step out to get anything. The grounds are well kept and patrolled by security gaurds. The pools are great, and there are plenty of excerci...''
