Supporter of micro brews and true Red Ales. The food was good, the beer was cold and the service was fantastic. Went several times on our vacation and felt right at home with very freindly staff and owners. We had great conversation in a cool(welcomed from the heat) setting with no smoking allowed inside. As an ex-smoker, I can see where this could be a problem, but they do have a great patio outside overlooking the Inner Coastal where you can light up a cig or a new cigar from their cigar store. My new favorite hang out in Swansboro, NC. Only problem is I wish I had found sooner.

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Charming | | By Guest on 4/13/2008 | We visit Church St. several times a year when we visit the beach. We look especially forward to visiting the deli. Best sandwiches and most of all the Bread Pudding. We don't leave the beach without having some Bread pudding. Love the charming ambiance and the views of the waterway. | |

I came here my first time when I was 11 (my first time in NC) and I had no idea what that place really ment to me untill I found out. I was told by my mother and grandmother that the historic red house now raised up into the plaza actualy used to belong to my family, and that my great grandmother along with her siblings were born in the room all the way at the top. I almost couldent believe it, but then every summer we visit (from Ft. Lauderdale, FL) the owners or manager lets my family and I take a little tour past the rope, all the way to the infamus (for me, anyway) top floor attic, now used for storage. If you can imagine, there is nothing like it, and the employees are really good about letting us come back and take a look around year after year.

We had the coffee and ice cream in the first year and each time we go back there is more to choose from. Always high quality in ambiance and food/drink.
