Stanley and Patsy had a cook out for their guests. They supplied shrimp that was prepared to perfection. Everyone else brought a side dish to share. It was totally awesome. We then walked to the top of the dune and waatched fireworks from everywhere. They were all around everywhere you looked. We met some great people while we were there. My mom and I are going back in a few days to stay. I would encourage anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting the island should really give this place a call. You will be very glad you did.

This is just a reasonably priced, nice place with no frills which is just right for us. It's clean, neat and well maintained. Plus it's near Frank and Clara's Restaurant which can't be beat.

Stanley and Patsy always make you feel like family and welcome. My dad was put in a wheelchair before he passed and Mr. Smith had a wheelchair ramp put in for his convience. That was one thing not everyone would do. Can't wait to walk on the clean beach and bask in the sun. We are very much looking forward to our trip this year.

The couple who own it are very helpful & kind. I really enjoyed my last stay here back in June of 2007 & I plan to stay here with my husband this July! Which I am very excited. It just a hop, skip & jump to the beach which is awesome!

Stanley and Patsy Smith own it and make you feel like one of the family. It's a neat place with kitchenettes as well as regular rooms, all at an affordable price. There's a private walkway to the beach and great restauarnts nearby. I have visited many times and I can honestly say that I have always had a great time. It may not be fancy, but hey this is the beach, it doesnt have to be. The Smiths are good people and will help you in any way they can. The Smith family, the clientele, and the laid back atmosphere (including rocking chairs in front of all the rooms) make it what it is. I recommend this motel highly.

We recently stayed here for 3 days and loved it! You can't see the ocean from the motel, but there is a private boardwalk about 100 yards long that leads you to the beach. And the days we were there in July, there were about 5 families on the beach within at least 100 yards on both sides of the boardwalk's entrance to the beach. Very private! We let our children run all around and had no worries about them or our stuff getting lost or stolen. The room was plain but spacious with something like a tile floor, with microwave and frig. (Some rooms have kitchenettes) There were rocking chairs on the porches, too. The rooms were clean and the staff was courteous. The only downfall may be if you can't handle steps too easily, this boardwalk may be too much for you.
