The owner and chef of Carlton's Fine Dining Restaurant has a passion for fresh seafood in its purest form. Each dish is prepared fresh. This cozy restaurant only has twelve tables, and seats about 50. Carlton's is open daily beginning at 5:00 PM. There is a Sunday Brunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Reservations are suggested. Catering services are available.

Nice but limited menu

Carlton's is a very nice restaurant, but has a very limited menu. The night we were there, two steak specials (but only 3 servings left of one at 6:30), and a fish special. Wait staff was very nice and attentive (only 8 tables). Prices are on the expensive side.

Far and away the best meal around Atlantic Beach

If you want fine dining, this is the place to go. Amy (the restaurant manager) is one of the best servers I have run across in a long time. The food was top shelf gourmet: superb lump crab cakes, perfectly prepared aged beef, good wine, and scrumptous Key Lime pie. The prosciutto wrapped asparagus was top notch. This restaurant is way better than any other we have tried in the area. A must dine spot.

I just love Carltons! I've lived on EI for 3 years and am moving out west...I will miss this cute, quaint restaurant very much. It's the best-and most kept secret-place on the beach. I also attended a wedding catered by Carltons- perhaps the best catered food I've ever had!! The staff is amazing and friendly, not typical for touristy areas. It's small town hospitality, outrageously yummy (and fresh) seafood, and big-city cuisine at beach hut prices. I'll miss you, Carltons! I'm sure I'll find nothing like this on the West Coast!

A true gem!

We visit here every yr & look forward to it. Crab cakes are sumptuous lump cakes. Daily seafood specials are great. The waitstaff always friendly & attentive. Not real big inside, but nice simple, soothing decor. Can't wait to go back!

A complete let down!!!!!!!!!

2 of our very best friends went with us to try ''Carltons Fine Dining.'' First let me say that this is NO Fine Dining establishment. The Decor is from someones front porch or deck from a beach house. The service was slow to say the least. And the food was not typical of a ''true'' Fine Dining Restaurant. Anyone going should not expect to pay Fine Dining prices for food you can get at any local hole in the wall. NOT RECOMMENDED!

A Can't Miss

We've been going to Bogue Banks for 25 years. This is one of if not the best restaurant in the area. Gourmet food with generous portions and modest prices. Not too stuffy to take children either. Wait staff is extremely pleasent. We look forward to going here every year!
