''This will mark the 11th year my family and I have vacationed in EI, NC. Flipperz is the most kid-friendly restaurant we've found (and with 3 under the age of 10, we've done our research.) The fun decor reminds us that we're vacationing at the beach (check out the restrooms!), the service is fast and fantastic, and the food is just fine. Price is so reasonable you don't notice you're dining out. Seating is limited so go early- it's worth it!...''
''Moved to the Crystal Coast about 3 years ago and for whatever reason never checked our Rucker John's. I did however hear that the food was great. So I thought it would be a great place to take my brother and his wife when they came to town. Our party of four all ordered different meals and nothing about it was special, more the same old prepackaged stuff you can get anywhere. I wouldn't waste your time on a ''special'' night out but might be a good place for a quick lunch....''

''This is the best Pizza between Swansboro and Atlantic Beach. Provides 2 meals a week to our houseful annually. It's BIG NY style. Not for the health conscious but that's what makes it great!...''
''My husband and I and our two small children ate here on 1/18/08. We waited 15 minutes for a table since the place is small but figured it must be good since it was full. WRONG. The waitress was nice and attentive but the seafood was awful. My husband's fried shrimp tasted like chlorine and my catfish was along the lines of something bagged in the frozen section of the supermarket. The kids enjoyed their burgers/chicken fingers and fries but we paid adult prices(no kid's meals) and got huge po...''

''Great atmosphere. The food is really good but some things can be a little pricey for fast food. Good food, live music, and beer - can't ask for much else!...''

''Worst buffet I have ever had and we ate there twice. First time was four years ago and I thought well maybe it's gotten better. Nope! Same decor, tables, chairs, carpet and worst of all... the food.
The chairs are sticky, why we stayed I don't know. Crab legs are extra and since I am not that crazy about them and my husband doesn't eat them, we didn't order them. The food is just awful and the desserts Ugh! Canned peaches, dry looking brownies and cake that had seen better days. Didn't eat...''
''The wraps are great! Glad to see Harkers Island now has more options for dining. Service was good and I liked the bright atmosphere. I also liked that I could stop by and pick-up a lunch to take with me to Lookout. I was told that if I called in I could dock my boat at Barbours Marina and they would deliver the box lunch to me. Sounds like something I will do the next time I am out boating....''
''We live in the area. This is a delicious restaurant, especially for breakfast or lunch. There are plenty of specials that even include homemade dessert...for around 5.00-6.00 for lunch and around 12.00 for dinner (that's for a steak). WONDERFUL food if you just want a small home town place to eat! One of our favorites!...''
''First timt in my life I loved or hated a place enouh to go online and write a review and I hated it. Don't know what the others found at this house with rotting floors but I found a horible crab claw pasta special and my husband got a $30 petite filet with white sauce and canned crab meat. I won't go back. If you chose this place expect around $100 tab for two at a place no better than Chili's. I undersand the area doesn't have much selection but this is no better and carries a big price. The de...''
''My family has vacationed in EI, NC for 10+ years. We will NEVER forget 2003. Our ''farewell dinner'' was at the Clamdigger. My sister-in-law had the Chicken Parm. Took 1.5 hours to bring out the food, service was horrible, bill was $120.00 for 4 adults, 1 child (no drinks- we're driving home.) By the time we returned to our rental, my SIL was puking. We called the restaurant, and they said, ''You can't prove it was us.'' Classy! We moan at the memory each year as we drive past this horrible plac...''
''I read some reviews online about this place and heard a lot about the fritters, so my family and I decided to check it out. DON'T order the fritters unless you like over sugared fried fruit. Although I did enjoy the omelet, and the prices were fair....''
''Near top of the list for worst dining experience ever!
Food was lukewarm, not seasoned. (We were advised after meal was delivered, that seasoning must be requested).Soup was served after meal delivered. Complained about meal; sent back and ordered different item. Was charged full price for both entres.
After complaining, owner reduced price by a dollar.
The next trip to the area, the only way I would return to this restaurant, would be if I were hog tied and unconscious....''
''When first entering you will find the decor pleasant and the environment friendly. We were placed in extremely close proximity to other diners (close enough to hear their conversations.) We were told about a grouper special with bur blanc sauce over asparagus that sounded amazing, so my wife and I ordered it. The two plates (bowl type things) arrived large enough to feed two per plate. The fish was overcooked and the sauce was separating. It was served on 2 spears of asparagus and nothing had ta...''
''My husband is a Marine and we are stationed in the area. We enjoy Kabuto's very much. It is a very tasty place to eat, plus you can't beat the entertainment of the chef cooking in front of you. Just a tip, to avoid a long wait, especially on the weekends, call ahead and place a reservation. Also, the establishment offers an early-bird discount, call for details. To all of you who don't eat sushi...neither do I...however you MUST try the Morehead Double Dip... it is COMPLETELY cooked and oh so de...''

''great chinese food for North Carolina. The dumplings are good relative to almost any other place I've had anywhere further east of Raleigh and the rice isn't overly soft like it's been steaming in a hot pot for a few hours too long - tends to happen at too many places. The lemon chicken is pretty good too. It's a strip mall place that seems to be employed by the usual asian family complete with cute asian kids wheeling around while the family does their business. Definitely no ambiance or win...''
