Camp Albemarle has been ''bringing people closer to God and each other since 1953.'' Camp Albemarle is the ideal place for churches, schools, and other non-profit organizations to have retreats, camps, picnics, and meetings. The facilities are closed to outside groups during June and July while they run their summer camping program. During the rest of the year the camp can accommodate up to 138 overnight guests. Recreational opportunities available to guests include an outdoor Junior Olympic size swimming pool, sports field, a basketball/tennis court, volleyball courts, a group challenge course, tetherball courts, canoes, and sea kayaks. The camp is a ministry of The Presbytery of New Hope, Presbyterian Church.
