The Ice House was a good dining experience. We ate outside with a nice view of the ocean but we were still located next to the street. The restaurant had a cafe feel to it. The service was very good and we had a very friendly waitress that was attentive. The food was okay, I had a chicken sandwich that was average but then again, a chicken sandwich is an average entree.

Best Food on the Outer Banks

Pros: Beautiful waterfront, Great service, Staff is energetic and helpful as well as quite attractive!
Cons: Non that I found, keep up the good work!
We have eaten at every restaurant in this quaint waterfront community but this was the absolute best! Fresh local seafood, you must try their huge sea scallops, the stuffed baguette and the crab dip is out of this world. The chef is willing to prepare anything to your specifications with a smile, vegetarians will love it too! They have an oyster bar and raw bar as well as children's menu, chicken, steaks, pastas and sandwiches....something for every budget and taste!
