Review Guidelines
Basic Review Guidelines:

Your review should focus on specific aspects of the business you are reviewing. Do not simply state you liked or disliked the business - be specific.

The best reviews include not only whether you liked or disliked a business' products or service, but also why.

DO NOT TYPE IN ALL CAPS!

Do not mention competing company names in your reviews. Focus on the company you are reviewing, and if you wish, leave a review about the other companies on their directory listings.

Do not comment on other reviews - respect their position and write your own, but do not argue with others.

Do not use profanity or post spiteful remarks.

Do not write a review that is less than 50 words in length. The goal of a review is to share your experiences with a particular company - very short reviews do not accomplish this.

Do not post phone numbers, email addresses or URLs.

Do not post inflammatory reviews - stop and put yourself in the shoes of the owner of the business you are posting about.

Do not post many reviews about one business. Doing this will cause all of your reviews to be deleted.

Remember, you are responsible for your words.

If you have never eaten
By teppenyaki_lover on 6/13/2008
at a real Teppenyaki House, then maybe you will like this place. We were not impressed with the quality of food or service. The soup was little more than chicken bouillion, I can make better rice in my rice cooker and the service is worse than a drive thru. The absolute worst part is the sauce they give you to dip your meat. My five yr old said it best when he said ''What is this white stuff?? Ugh, thats not for the meat! That's for salad''

Mmm...mmm...good
By Abby on 2/8/2008
My husband is a Marine and we are stationed in the area. We enjoy Kabuto's very much. It is a very tasty place to eat, plus you can't beat the entertainment of the chef cooking in front of you. Just a tip, to avoid a long wait, especially on the weekends, call ahead and place a reservation. Also, the establishment offers an early-bird discount, call for details. To all of you who don't eat sushi...neither do I...however you MUST try the Morehead Double Dip... it is COMPLETELY cooked and oh so delicious, the only sushi I eat! Wonderful food...check it out!

Manager was extremely rude
By an NCBeaches Guest on 10/6/2007
We took visiting family out here in July. The food and the cook were very good, but our guest ordered sushi and we were completely finished eating our meal and he hadn't even got his yet. The waitress kept telling us it's almost done when we asked so we asked for the manager and he treated us extremely rude holding the plate in front of our guest and saying you can either eat this or I'll just let my staff have it. Our guest took the food and we sat and watched him eat it being that we were completly finished. I was so shocked that a manager would treat his customers this way, it's really a shame since the food is good but we haven't been back since. I was so appaled in his manner never saying I'm sorry for your wait or even being nice at all. So Beware of the management!

Tasty sushi
By Cindy on 8/27/2007
I went with a small group on a Friday night in mid-August. It was very busy in the sushi bar. We were seated promptly and got our drinks and soup very fast, but it took a very long time to get the sushi. The ambiance was nice but the sushi bar was freezing. The acoustics in the sushi bar were not very good so it was fairly loud even though it was only at half capacity most the time we were there. The fish was very good and fresh but the rice was falling apart the whole time. This was probably because of how busy they were, the sushi chef worked without any break the whole time we were there until the end when he came and talked to us and apologized for the length of our wait. Overall, my experience and this restaurant was very good. Just make sure you have the time to wait and aren't starving when you get there

Need some money

They cook right in front of you. It is a really good place to eat, it is a good place to go once and twice a year or a good place to go on a date. It isn't that cheap

Great Hibachi and Sushi!
By a Guest Reviewer
Very good. Sushi was super fresh tasting. Hibachi food was not too salty and very flavorful. You have to be willing to pay $18 to $22 for your meal, but this is about what hibachi places go for so I would highly recommend trying this one.

I visit this place often!!
By a Guest Reviewer
This is a great Japanese Steakhouse! I have visited several others when traveling and none compare. Most of the cooks are friendly, entertaining, and their food is wonderful. 95% of the wait staff are very friendly & do a great job. It is a little pricey, but it is well worth it! :)
