Espresso in Havelock

Common Grounds is one of two coffee shops that I've found in the Havelock area. It's located a little out of the way from most beach travelers. It's on NC 101 east (Fontana Blvd.) about 1 mile from the Cherry Point Main Gate. Ambiance is appealing with somewhat interesting wall treatments and comfy chairs. There is a drive thru and some outdoor seating. Outside seats have a view of the parking lot which isn't great. Some local art is in a hallway on the way to the restrooms. Espresso based coffee drinks are very well made, excellent coffee too, and the desserts are good, but the choices are limited. Prices are typical of most coffee shops. If you're local or already headed out on 101 then it's worth the stop.
