the ice cream was old tasting and the service was not good--they even have a dog in the shop--was not clean at all

When Linda and I discovered the Sweet Shop we were thrilled. We have been coming to the Island for 24 years. Finally a icecream shop on the Island that was not a chain. We do not have Hersheys icecream in Missouri. need I say more.

MYSELF AND MY 3 DAUGHTERS GO TO THE SWEET SPOT OFTEN. WE LIVE HERE AND I WOULDNT THINK TWICE OF GOING TO ANY OTHER PLACE. THE OWNER IS SUPER AWESOME AND THE ICE CREAM IS AWESOME. SHE HAS GREAT THINGS TO PUT IN UR HOUSE. ITS MY FAVORITE SHOP ON THE ISLAND!! BRENDA!

This store has the best ice cream on the island. Five of us ate ice cream EVERY NIGHT here and only averaged $14-15 a night!

I have lived in Emerald Isle my whole life and the Sweet Spot is by far the best. The ice cream is awesome and a very reasonable price compared to other ice cream shops. The girls that work there are always so helpful too. Trust me, if you are on vacation, be sure to stop in the Sweet Spot.

This place is without a doubt the best shop in Emerald Isle. The ice cream is awesome and without a doubt the best place on the island. Great prices and the shop is not a typical souvenior shop! The owner and staff are the best at making you feel as if you are a local. Hats off to ths place. They are one of the reasons we will move to the area eventually!

Honestly I was quite disappointed. The ice cream was very overpriced and it was hershey's which means that I could've bought the exact same thing at Food Lion down the street for a fraction of the price. The candy was very overpriced also, especially jellybeans. However, the taffy was to die for.

This is the best spot for icecream, even at 11:15 PM. Service was excellent. Also, the taffy is fresh and soft (and you can try all the flavors), not like the chain souvenir shop junk.

this is the best place on the island, found out it is a favorite for locals, and the locals know best. Do not know what Matt on 2/8/08 was talking about. Jelly Bellys are the best price around, only 6.99 lb, compared to 9.99lb at other places. Do not miss this store on your visit to emerald isle.

They have an okay selection of candies and ice cream, but that's it, the rest of it is a junk shop. It's way overpriced ($14 for 12 oz. of jellybeans I bought over the summer of 2007).

This is such a great gift shop. They have a wide variety of items...such cute things. The ice cream is THE BEST...and you get a lot for the price. We love it!
