The house we rented didn't have electricity; they called us on the way down to inform us of this &upgraded us to a different home. Boy were we spoiled. This new place actually had an elevator (Yes there is a light in there- just push the button with the light bulb on it)& a lot of buttons on the appliances (they were at first a little daunting but very easy to learn. We had a little problem with the frig. our fault-don't put the milk on the bottom tray it will stop the refrigerator from closing tight- Our apologies to Dwight (he sure got there fast). After we shook the cobwebs out of our heads and destressed, we were able to really enjoy ourselves. The beach was right outside our door practically. The home was beautiful. Our family was able to gather comfortably on the same level of this home. Bluewater was able to deal with us while we were uptight.Kind of makes us feel like we weren't the first nuts to go there. We are now trying to really pinch our pennies to go back to that rental next year (We're still bragging). | |

We were vacationing in the northern Outerbanks for the past 10 years, no more. Emerald Island is the best kept secret in the Mid-Atlantic states! | |

My husband and I both run small businesses, so it was important for the rental to have high speed internet access. The unit we rented advertised wireless internet access on the website and the lease indicated that the unit had wireless internet access. Upon our arrival access could not be found. Bluewater sent out a computer consultant and he was unable to find the wireless internet access. The unit did not have wireless internet access! We had planned to check our email in the unit many times a day with very little interruption, but instead my husband and I spent the week going over the bridge to access the internet at a small coffee shop. This was not the vacation we had planned! | |

We definitely will be returning to Emerald Isle and would not consider using anyone but Bluewater to make our arrangements! They oversaw all services provided to the rental. I had a difficult time getting internet at the rental. They walked me thru the process on the phone, but said they would come to the home to set me up if needed. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, we did have a small accident and broke an item. One quick call to Bluewater to find out how to replace the item, and they took charge - they came out and picked up the item and had it replaced immediately! What a joy! And to our good fortune, we were told that insurance took care of the expense. It became quickly apparent that when in doubt as to anything, a quick call to Bluewater was all that was needed to solve the dilemma, whatever it might be. Kudos to Bluewater! | |

We just drove right up and they delivered my keys to my car. They also gave me a cooler and area information when I checked in. We had some maintenance problems when we checked in, but they were out the same day and took care of everything, and were so polite. This is a top notch company, they understand what being on vacation is about. | |

We were able to gather from several states and spend a wonderful week together. We have already booked our 2007 Family Christmas with Bluewater. This year in a larger home with more family. Bluewater provided us with fantastic guest service. The home we stayed in was beautiful and all agreed to do this every year. What was really great was the drive thru check in so after a long trip I didn't even have to get out of the car to get my key!!! I had ''to the door'' directions to my rental home and found my cottage to be clean and comfy. My oceanfront home was perfect and I had a great time with my kids all week frolicking in the surf. My microwave broke during my stay but Bluewater replaced it on the same day I reported the problem. Friendly staff, great selection of homes for every budget! Thanks for the memories Bluewater. | |

It was a beautiful home with nice furnishings - it felt more like I was at home than in a rental property. A nice service provided by Bluewater GMAC was that every day prior to garbage pick-up, someone came by and took the full garbage can to the street for me, and they came back after the garbage truck picked it up and put it back by the house. This seems like a small task, but what a great thing to have done for you while you are on vacation! I have experience with other rental companies on the NC Coast and this was a new service for me. I had a great experience with Bluewater GMAC. | |
