No spice is needed on scallops if you know how to cook them and believe me this chef has it down pat as well as the oysters. First time I have EVER been offered a choice of Fish on the Fishwich. The She Crab Soup was Number One and believe me I have eaten alot of it. Excellent, simply delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to every food critic in the U.S. You won't be disappointed. The service was as good as the food.

| 2 of 3 people found this review helpful: | | Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | The Best | | By John of Pittsburgh on 1/27/2009 | | I vacation every year in Atlantic Beach, 17 miles from this establishment. I visit at least twice as this is some of the best seafood in the area. My wife feels their scallops are the best she has ever had. You have to visit Jordan's if you want quality food, good service, and reasonable prices. A must visit spot. | |

Sat at the oyster Bar where the owner shucked our peck of Chessapeake oysters, absolutely incredible! had the soft shell crab plate and I don't think i've ever had that good of seafood for the price. An absolute Gem

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | Wine List: | | | | None Better | | By J.T. on 4/9/2008 | | My wife and I have a place at Emerald Isle. We have made the trip to Morehead City a few times for seafood, but never found even near the quality we find at Jordan's. A very friendly staff, great cold beers, followed by fantastic seafood. Check out the oyster bar or eat with Mike in the lounge. I love their oysters and flounder. My wife loves their broiled flounder. The prices can't be beat. Don buys only the best seafood and demands that it be prepared well. Great place!! | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Consistantly great | | By Valentine Family on 4/7/2008 | | My family has been coming to Emerald Isle for years and we always eat at Jordans. The seafood is always fresh and piled high. Even off season the place is packed. Their oysters are the best. It isn't fancy but if you want great seafood this is the place. Come early or you will be sitting on the bench outside. | |

We waited 15 minutes for a table since the place is small but figured it must be good since it was full. WRONG. The waitress was nice and attentive but the seafood was awful. My husband's fried shrimp tasted like chlorine and my catfish was along the lines of something bagged in the frozen section of the supermarket. The kids enjoyed their burgers/chicken fingers and fries but we paid adult prices(no kid's meals) and got huge portions for two young children that only needed about half. Very disappointing experience and we paid $40 for a lunch with no extras for 2 adults and 2 small children. We'd never go back and I really felt strongly that I needed to let others know that this is not really a good restaurant if you want seafood.

We really enjoy the food & the service. Keep up the great work.... :)

The crab cake was ok but the oysters tasted as if they were cooked in old grease. Very greasy. The teenagers had cheese fries but would not eat them after the first bite. The tea tasted like blueberries. The string beans had a very stange taste. My husband had hamburger steak and liked it. He likes everything anyway. I wouldn't go back. I still feel queasy tonight. The waitress was nice but there were only 2 of them working. Service was slow.

| 2 of 2 people found this review helpful: | | Great seafood and drinks! | | By a Guest Reviewer | | Jordan's is a great little seafood restaurant. The staff is friendly and very attentive to your needs. My wife and I love to eat in the bar. Mike always provides good service and there's always good conversation and fun. Good cold drinks too. My favorite dish is fried oysters. My wife swears by the broiled seafood items. This place is much better than the high priced places in Morehead. | |
