The food is good, and so is the service. I live in Swansboro and my family comes for Sunday brunch quite often. It is one of the better values without having to fight crowds in Jacksonville or Morehead. And your not treated like a second rate citizen because you smoke.

The smoking needs to go. The place is so small that there is no difference between the Smoking and Non-Smoking sections.
I do eat there, but usually have to walk out 1 out of every three times because of the smoke.

We will not return because of the smoking section.

I. year round and Eat at Mike's during different seasons. The food is great,(breakfast is best) the staff is friendly, and wait times are normal. Go early(lunch) or late (breakfast) for the best overall expereince and remember Summer gets real busy,so you may have to wait to get a table.

It's not a fancy place, but the wait staff is friendly and pleasant. They are busy. The buffett isn't huge, but we enjoyed it. The eggs and french toast were very good. Loved the grits! There is a very nice selection of fruits and danish. When we left, there was quite a crowd waiting to get in. We went by several times during our stay and if the place was open, there was a crowd outside. I'd go back!

I own a house at EI and dine out frequntly but this place will not get a second chance. The entire family was disappointed...in the food and the service. I had to get up and go find a member of the wait staff. We should have left right then.

The Country Omelet is like no other I have ever tasted. Three years in a row - every day we come to Mike's for breakfast but this year we even went for dinner. Everything is fresh and consistently good. Once we are back home on Long Island, we talk about next year and reminisce about what great food we ate at Mikes.
