Clawson's has been part of Beaufort's history for over 100 years. What is now the famous restaurant and pub started out as a grocery store, and was once a bakery, a hat shop, a dress shop, and a piece goods shop. A pictorial history of Clawson's decorates the walls. The restaurant is open year 'round for lunch and dinner Monday-Saturday. During the Summer, it is open for dinner on Sunday. Their menu includes hot crab dip, buffalo chicken wings, tempura veggies, cobb salad, a chicken salad plate, burgers, seafood bisque, shrimp & grits, seafood, steaks & ribs, dirigibles, and pastas. There is also a variety of beer, both American and Imports.

As far as I am concerned Clawsons is the signature of Beaufort,NC.

Great Atmosphere & Eats!

The atmosphere was tremendous and the food was excellent. Try the Carribean Tuna with Mango salsa. Not to mention that it is located just across the street from the docks in Beaufort. Excellent

Pros: Rustic Setting, Pleasant Service
Cons: Costs
Clawsons is an established restaurant catering to the tourists. The food is good to great but prices are a bit high. Nice view from the upper 'banquet' room.
