| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | My favorirte place | | By ScottyZak on 7/22/2008 | Every year we vacation in Atlantic Beach and every year I try to find a place that will top the Channel Marker, but I have yet to find a better meal.
I highly recommend the seafood lasagna (and so must a bunch of other people because it won some type of local award) It is one of the best meals that I have ever had.
Make sure that you save some room for dessert as well as they have some of the best around. If you are a chocoholic, go for the espresso cake. Excellent!!!
To the people who complain about the food and the price, ....Please!!! Good food costs money. The prices are not out of line with many of the other eateries in the area and the food they serve is well worth it.The people that usually complain are the same ones that you and see at every restaurant. They eat almost their whole dinner, complain so that something gets taken off the bill, take the leftovers home, and then go online to complain. I see it happen all the time.

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | Wine List: | | | | Better than some... | | By Abby on 2/8/2008 | | My husband is a Marine stationed at Cherry Point, NC. We eat here occasionally. Our favorite is the Crap Dip. The prices are a bit steep for the food that is served, and on occasion I have had slow service. However, comparing to other restaurants nearby, it is decent. (Psstt.. if you like Mexican, eat at El Zarape instead...unless seafood is really what you desire.) | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Memorable restaurant | | By Umbratikus on 2/4/2008 | | My wife and I lived in Atlantic Beach in the early 90s and this was our favorite restaurant in town. This review is all from memory, since we haven't been there in over 15 years, but the food was always excellent and fresh and service was great. My ratings are indeed outdated, and probably not relevant today, but people should know that this reputable restaurant has been around a long time and has a tradition of good seafood and service. I am pleased to see that the Channel Marker is still around and still getting such good reviews. | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | Wine List: | | | | nope!! | | By Picky Pete on 12/14/2007 | | manager was rude and cocky. Service was not that great and the prices were not low enough for the type of food served. This is NOT a fine dining place, the only thing they have going is that it is on the water. Save your money and go to a real place, Windansea in Morehead City at the waterfront. | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Highly Recommend | | By Dneal1960 on 7/16/2007 | | We have eaten at a lot of seafood restaurants in and around the area and this one is hands down the best! The broiled seafood is wonderful as is the fried seafood. The only thing that disappoints us just a little is they don't have hushpuppies - instead they serve bread - it is good but hushpuppies would give this place a 5 plus star rating across the board! You also sometimes have to wait but they have a wonderful bar and a great area outside to make your wait worth your time! | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | Wine List: | | | | Great Food but Too Cold | | By an NCBeaches Guest on 5/8/2007 | | The service was great as was the food. Clean and beautiful views. The only problem was it was COLD and we weren't even sun burnt. Need a lite jacket if staying any lenght of time!! | |

Hahaha) but the prices are ridiculous, especially for the amount of food you get. I recommend the stuffed flounder, which is priced relatively reasonably considering. Its one of those restauraunts where you ''pay for the atmosphere'' and the atmosphere isn't worth what you pay for. It kinda smells in there but the view is fantastic. I would recommend this to any ritzy tourist looking to drop a Benjamin on a meal.

| Dont waste your time or money | | By a Guest Reviewer | | The food was horrible no other way around it. The view was awesome and the service was great. But these do not make up for the food nor the price. Stay away from this place....there is a McDonalds not even a mile away. Sure wish i would have done that instead. | |

| Pros: Food and Ocean side dining | | By a Guest Reviewer | Pros: Food and Ocean side dining Cons: horrible service and outrageous prices The food its self was excellent, but the service was horrible. The prices for the amount of food you actually recieve was soo outrageous | |
