CROP Hunger Walk

Where: Southport, Oak Island and Bald Head Island locations

In partnership with Church World Service and organized locally by the Southport-Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship, the SOIICF CROP Hunger Walk draws over 200 walkers and since 1984 has raised over $183,000 to help stop hunger and poverty here in our community and around the world, through self-help initiatives. 25% of funds raised each year are used by SOIICF for local emergency human needs in our community. CROP Hunger Walks continue to play a big role in the US Gulf Coast rebuilding and in Central America. Support our community walk! Sign-up at your church or contact Ann Parvin.

Start Locations: Franklin Square Park - Southport. Middleton Park - Oak Island. Fire Station - Bald Head Island. Registration is at 1:30 p.m. and walk begins at 2:00 p.m.
