| We liked it!! | | By a Guest Reviewer | | My family and I have stayed at The Winds on 3 different occasions and have been very satisfied on every visit. Our stay has always been through the July 4th Holiday and we've never experienced any problems with the staff or facilities even though they were booked to capacity. I plan on spending my next vacation at The Winds. | |

You can relax on an beautiful beach with only like 10 other people there, just swimming, tanning, playing voleyball, all with a big coco snow in your hand. it's buetiful. I've only stayed in the rooms on the beach, but still, if you stayed in the other parts, all you have to do is cross an road. My only minor complaint is that the sidewalks there are wood and the beach has a lot of shells. Which is great if you love collecting shells, but you still cut your foot on the shells and get a lot of splinters. But anyway. Oceans great, Shuffleboards great, and so are the 3 different pools. OVerall I would give this hotel a 10000 out of 5 but i cant so i am giving it a 100% instead. I definantly recamend this hotel. Please, Dont overlook the best kept secret in NC!

| The Winds | | By a Guest Reviewer | | It was O.K. but like others say it was a little expensive for the accomodations ground level shower inoperative and whole ground level unfinished, for $4600.00 a week you think it should be close to perfect. Oh yea .50 cents a call for local calls ? | |

First the brief instructions of where to find our room didn't work. She negected to tell us that we had to go through one set of doors to get to another and then made us feel like idiots when we told her all the doors of the building were locked. But we overcame that and settled in for a nice quiet weekend. Then we determined that the folks at the front desk had no sense of humor because a simple question created a response of ''maybe you should go somewhere that has HBO'' okay so maybe Tracy was having a bad day, but I have never been treated like that in all my vast years of traveling. Within the first few hours of our stay we had just about decided to go to another location all together. However we then went to the bar and found that the rest of the staff made up for the rudeness of a few. The breakfast was wonderful and the morning staff were very friendly. Because its off season now, we had the place pretty much to ourselves and found it to be a very relaxing weekend which is exactly what we were looking for.
