Holy Smokes, Yum, always best to ask a local

I had planned and planned places to go for our anniversary (we went to OIB this year) and hadThe Isles picked out and other places but it wasn't until we went to Sunset Slush that the local told us that's where he goes to eat. If you're looking for 5-star atmosphere then keep driving. But if you're looking for out-of-this world food then this is the place. We tried fried Okra for the first time (From Pa. so it was a new experience.) I had your basic burger but it had mustard, chili and coleslaw on it. Today at home I eat my hamburgers (which were a half pound there BTW) with coleslaw, mustard and chili. The picnic tables indoor fill quickly and pay attention to the windows. There's something unique about them but you'll have to see for yourself. This place was everything the kid at sunset slush in OIB said it was. We ate at several of the planned restaurants but in the end the best one we ate at was a simple unplanned drive.

Best Burgers! Great prices!

We've been vacationing at OIB for 27 years, and just tried Beaches Burgers for the first time this year. Oh, what we've been missing!! It doesn't look like much on the outside (or on the inside, either, for that matter), but the food is DELICIOUS! Maybe the best burgers we've ever had. Fries, onion rings & sweet tea were really good, too! The people working there are friendly, and they told us that everything is made fresh daily. We are already looking forward to our visit next year!
