We have had wonderful customer service with OIA whenever we have had to call the office. Last year when we checked into the beach house, it was obvious that the house had not had a thorough dusting since the last time the cottage was rented about 2 months previous. I called the office and they offered to send someone over right away and were extremely apologetic. Also, there was a sewage main break one house down the street from us and the whole cottage smelled like...well you know what! I called the office not knowing at that point that it was a sewer main break, and even tho it was not really their problem, they were great enough to call the Town and find out what was going on. The first girl gave us the wrong info, but eventually we found out what it was and someone from the town was over and started working on the problem.
We would never even consider looking at another rental company'e website, because when you are with the best, who can beat them?? | |

All companies have their flaws here and there, but this company always perseveres and yearns for constant improvement. They are always friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make sure that their customers are happy. Their website is easy to use and makes finding the place you want to stay a lot easier than just using a catalog. I was a little disappointed that they had run out of catalogs for 2008 since I had left mine at home and like to have it with me as we drive around the island looking for next years rental! Keep up the good work, and we do highly recommend OIA. | |

although I will say we were told our check in was 3 to 5 and we had to wait to get into house and it was hot out this is one thing i think they could work on but other than that it was a very nice vacation | |

We usually use another realtor and were worried about what service we might have with OIA. That was a waste of time, the service was great. One call after we got to our house and the forgotten linens were brought right over. The listing said it was a fully stocked kitchen. This was the most fully stocked one we have ever had. They also have other things available for rent that you might have forgotten at home or didn't want to bring (bikes, beach chairs, ect.) I will recomend them to friends and we will probably use them again. | |

We are always amazed at how smooth an operation it is. Each year it gets better and better. We honestly would not consider renting from anyone else. No surprises, no unexpected costs. Each cottage is exactly what has been described.
An example of their efficiency is that one year when one of my sister considered bringing her dog and changed her mind a couple of days before we arrived, they had a refund check waiting for us for the dog deposit when we arrived. | |

He always said he had fun there. Last year we where able to go there on vacation. This would be my first time staying a whole week at the beach. I really liked the house we stayed at, it was a oceanfront house. The agent was very friendly and made the check in very pleasent since we had travled 6 hours from our house in Fountian Inn SC with three kids (one was and is still in diapers). It was so much easier to check in at the house then at the office when you have children. We were able to start our vacation right a way. Thank you for your pleasent way fo checking in. My family and I had a very nice time even though it was very hot when we were there(Aug.4th-Aug.11,.2007). I would recemend you guys to all of my friends. Thank you fo the great service. | |

My husband and I have taken our family to Oak Island for two years. We rented homes from Oak Island Accommodations both years. We have made reservations for 2008 already with this same rental company. The ease of making the reservations is wonderful. They changed their check in procedures last year to make check in very convenient for vacationers. The new check in procedure was excellent. We met the agent at the rental home. She went through the home with us, had us sign the agreements and gave us the keys to the unit. It was great. There was no waiting in long lines in the rain, heat, etc. The homes we have rented from the company have been clean and beautiful. Renting from them has become a tradition for our family that will continue for many years! Their rental price are great too!! | |

What a wonderful, wonderful time we had walking on the beaches, flying kites, playing in the ocean, and sitting on the porches watching the waves crash on the shore, just to name a few of the activities that we have enjoyed. Oak Island Accommodations has always been there to handle any specific requests we have had in a friendly and timely manner. We can always rely on them to always help make our vacations memorable. | |
