My buddy sent me there to fix his board I broke in half. The board was old but Local Call said they could fix it!! After a few weeks and some discussion we decided to just get a used one while I learn and i promise to sell him that later. Local Call was very helpful in the whole process and gave me a killer deal on the used board. Joey was the expert on hand. He was great and he steered to the right board. Wayne was super knowledgeable on the phone. The cashier girl was super cute too!! Well worth the drive from Wilmington. Great little surf shop!

Local Call is so friendly. I can find quality clothing, shoes, and surf gear. The owner is usually there and is such a sweet guy. He really knows his products and readily helps his customers.

This place is awesome- the owner is the coolest, i had never surfed before and he got me and my friends in touch with a guy that had us surfing in a few hrs...will be backeach summer

this is the greatest shop in the history of forever. My dad lives there and every year I visit i have to go there. i know the owner he is the coolest guy.he owns both local callsthere in south port hands down perfection

This surf shop is hands down, the best place to shop for the beach in all of brunswick county. The selection is amazing and the owner and employees are incredibly helpful. I would reccomend shopping here over and over.

Where the REAL beach bums go

I have been going to this shop for at least 10 years. Every summer I stop in at the beginning of my vacation. They have a great selection of HIGH quality merchandise, not that crap that you'll find at some of the chain stores.
Do yourself and the local community of Oak Island a favor and shop at this locally owned and operated shop and keep the dollars on the island.
For us purests that enjoy the beach for the beach this is the place to shop.

its a great shop... the local board shaper does repairs and everything but its not were it says it is on the map lol.... its on the corner of trott street and the main road
