| Value: |  | Service: | | | | By Guest on 3/31/2012 | Have been coming to Oak Island with my family for over 15 years. We always make a point to visit the store and, of course, leave with lots of items, especially when our children go.
At any rate, I went to the store yesterday with my two children to purchase bathing suits. I have always been pleased with the selections. I came across a bathing suit that had tags on all of the sets that the suit came with a free cover up, but none of them had a cover up. As we were checking out, I inquired about the missing cover up, the sales clerk, who was very friendly, asked the manager about the situation. This is where my experience with this store went downhill quickly. The manager was extremely rude telling me that when he ordered the suit ''sets'', he opted out of buying the cover ups and basically shrugged his shoulders. Then yelled '' so do you want the suit or not!?'' Unlike most people, I went ahead and purchased the bathing suit, which I should have left everything I bought on the counter and walked away, but seeing my 5 & 9 year old were with me, I did not want to upset them, or make a big deal. What I found interesting is when we left the store both my children asked me, why was that man being so mean?
It was a very upsetting experience and believe the owner/manager could have responded differently, or even make it right as he was false advertising the swimsuit set, knowing there was no cover up.
My family and friends have always enjoyed this store and made it a point to give them our business, but that will now change. Again, minus the manager, the other associates were very helpful and as always, the store was well organized and clean. | |

The associates were very helpful in locating the items in question. Of course ended up purchasing more than orginally went in for- but worth the money saved. | |
