ProCo is a beach restuarant with great food and views. Always a good group of people there to talk to either at the bar or outside deck. The live music and the boats crusiing by going up and down the ICW make the wait for your table go by quickly. We are huge fans of the peel and eat shrimp, grouper sandwichs and cold beer.
A must for your visit to Holden Beach!

We went twice and the food is quite good, especially the conch fritters with remoulade. However, the staff leaves much to be desired. During the first visit, after we ordered we were told we could go find a seat, but we wanted to look at the t-shirts and such, so we didn't go sit down right away. A man who I assumed is an owner or manager of some sort came out and started yelling at the guy behind the counter for not telling us we could go sit down. I stepped in and said that he had told us and that we were just looking around, but it left a bad taste in my mouth to see the way they belittled employees in front of customers.
The 2nd visit was the first time my dad had been there and another guy who also appeared to be one of the owner/managers started taking our order. Dad was checking out the menu and apparently not ordering fast enough for the guy because he got fed up and passed us off to another employee.
The only employees who were friendly and seemed to actually care about the customers were the ''kids'' who were likely just summer help.
Food was good, though a little overpriced considering it's served on paper and styrofoam.
The one in Southport has better service! According to our neighbor, the people who own the one in Southport opened the one at Holden and then gave it to their kids. Seems to me the kids are doing their best to get out of the business.

| great music | | By city slicer on 7/29/2008 | | Have been going to Provisions for the past three years, they have an awesome musician, Morris Cardenas, plays all sorts of great music. Love the food but enjoy the music more so, one great musician and singer!!!! | |

There are 26 of us now. The restaurant always does a wonderful job of accommodating us. The help is wonderful. I can't say enough good things.

We always go at least two times during our week at Holden, and sometimes get take out for lunch. We are always with family...and usually a fairly large group...The service is great...And, the shrimpburgers are so very very good!!!!

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Very Good | | By first time guest on 6/12/2008 | | If we visit Holden Beach again we will visit Provision Co. The service was fast and friendly. We lucked up and got a corner table over looking the waterway, very relaxing. Our kids were a little disappointed they didn't serve fried shrimp but ended up eating the steamed and loved it. We are all anxious to try other items on the menu. My only reserve is, I saw on some of the other reviews how good the crab cakes were so couldn't wait to try. They tasted more like a deviled crab then a crab cake, was ok, in my opinion to much breading and not enough crab. Still a great place to eat and highly recommend! | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | One of my fav places | | By Guest on 6/6/2008 | | I love Provisions. We eat there every day when we come to Holden. Their crab cakes are delicious, and you can't get them that cheap anywhere else. I've never had anything there that wasn't tasty. It's one of my favorite places to eat. | |

The food & service is outstanding. We were lucky enough to get a window table right on the intercoastal waterway. What a view! Our friend was disappointed when they ran out of clams but was happy with his alternate order. What a surprise when the clams were delivered during dinner and he was treated to free clams. One of the employees remembered and brought them to him.

If you are an outdoor person this is the place to be because you cant eat inside, I love it because when you are done eating you can go on a deck over and stare at the beauty. The food is served on paper/plastic plates which makes it look a little weird, but the taste towers over how it looks. Make sure vist the provision company in Holden Beach, NC

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | A little pricey, but worth it! | | By LoveTheCoast on 4/29/2007 | From the hamburgers to the seafood, you can't go wrong at Provisions. The outside deck (while you wait for a table) is great for watching the sun set and having a nice cold beer.
You'd think a place that serves food on paper plates would be a bit cheaper, but nonetheless we keep going back for the great food.

| What a view! | | By a Guest Reviewer | | If you love the water like I do, you'll love this place. Super atmosphere! Dress up, dress down or come as you are. The food is great, service is fast and very friendly, and be ready to dine and have drinks out on the open deck with a magnificant view. Don't let the long lines outside the door fool you, the wait is worth it and usually not that long. So get out your suits, or flip flops and be sure to bring plenty of attitude. See ya there. | |

| outstanding.... | | By a Guest Reviewer | | family favorite - go for ''thee special'' and you won't be let down! it's the perfect down-home, nitty gritty family seafood restaurant. | |

I especially enjoyed the grilled grouper. the staff was very attentive. The atmospher was relaxing. I'm headed back when the sides come down to let in the night air (still too cool) and will report back
