The food is always good, but I don't think it's anything special, especially considering the price. Their desserts are probably the best feature -- the Banana Dilly always makes us chuckle, but it's delicious. The waitress this past visit wasn't all that friendly, but I don't recall ever having an issue before.
I think they would do well to expand their menu a bit -- one guy came in wanting a sandwich and they sent him to another restaurant. It seems like they should have some options for people who aren't necessarily looking for a big meal, especially those coming with large groups where it's often difficult to please everyone with a limited menu.

Their seared tuna dinner changed our perspective on tuna. Their creativity and quality focus make it an absolute delight to dine and make it a must every time we visit the beach. Service as usual was great, nice amount of attention without instrusiveness. This is a first class restaurant and one well worth the wait.

Be prepared to wait; our expected time was 1 and a half hours. But it was closer to two and a half.
The waterway setting makes it enjoyable though. There were 25 or 30 people waiting outside by the water (and it's ok to bring drinks out from the bar).
Once inside, you'll know why the wait is necessary. The actual dining room is quite small.
The staff was great; even when putting up with not so patient people.
The dinner was very good and priced within reason.
Again, don't come if you're not willing to wait. The hostess will give her best estimate, but it is an estimate. Relax, you are on vacation.

Sean (bartender) is excellent, and the food (once you get a table) is even moreso! The bar is always busy with lots of locals chatting, and leads itself to mingling between locals and tourists.
The husband/wife team that run this place have certainly taken things ''up a notch''. If you don't see it on the menu, try asking -- I rarely eat anything off the menu, and have never once been dissapointed in the 20+ visits over the years.
